Here is a card I made using the Hearts a Flutter stamp set by Stampin Up. I used white embossing powder on the hearts, and I used the Illuminate stamp pad on the word Love underneath – I like how it makes a watermark type impression. The background was made using a mask that I sprayed with color mist. The stitching is just pen marks I made by hand around the circle.
This card is a bit blurry – I apologize for that. Camera issues! The heart stamp set is also from the Hearts a Flutter set. I also used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, which I got for FREE through Stampin Up’s Sale-a-Bration. And the button? Also FREE!! And the Calypso Coral twine? Free. Sensing a theme? 🙂 The sentiment is from the Hostess set available in the Stampin’ Up! annual 2012-2013 catalog, Wacky Wishes.
For the card below I used the flourish stamp from Everything Eleanor (SU) with Gumball Green ink. The owls’ stamp I found in my stash – not sure where it’s from. I colored them in with Copic markers. This card is a perfect example of an Oops moment that changed the look of the card – I had stamped a different image on the card front and didn’t like the way it looked, so I covered it up by using glitter tape around the edges, glued the the new card front right on top of the card, and then used Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment to give it a little pizzaz. So never say never when you think you’ve made a mistake that you can’t fix – don’t throw away your card stock without trying something else!
The next card I made is offset because I was using another oops card I had lying around. I used Stickles to color in the heart, and Copics on the penguins.
I know Valentine’s Day has come and gone, but since these were sent to family members I didn’t want to spoil the surprise. Hope you all had a lovely day!
