As promised, here is the second installment of my Pool Party Palooza. This time, however, it really is all about the color, as this project is a cute little tag that you can use at Christmas time.
Once again I’ve pulled out the Hang Your Stockings bundle, which was originally featured in last year’s Holiday Catalog and was “promoted” this year to the Annual Catalog. Hooray! So if you have a craving for crafting something for Christmas you can check out the Holiday section of the catalog and check out the selection of Christmas stamps, dies, and bundles.
Back to our Pool Party Palooza:
For this tag I paired the Pool Party with some Smoky Slate card stock. The circle element behind the stockings (stamped in Pool Party) has a scalloped circle cut from Sweet Sugarplum card stock, and the stitched circle on top of that is cut from Sahara Sand.
The Noel element is a die cut from the coordinating set of dies, Christmas Stockings, and after I cut it I adhered it to the Smoky Slate piece of the tag and then trimmed the ends of before attaching the tag to the Pool Party base.
TIP: Sometimes when you cut out your framelits you get little bumps or ridges on your card stock, so much so that sometimes your paper looks like it has polka dots on it. No worries! Just grab your bone folder and gently rub the bone folder across the card stock. You may also need to flip the die cut over on the reverse side and repeat that process.
Now get out there and do something creative today, okay?
