Pinterest Told Me To, Really!

Yes, I did it cause Pinterest told me to!

I know what you’re thinking…and if Pinterest told you to jump off a cliff, would you jump? At least, that’s what my mom would have said. 😉

But no, Pinterest told me to spend some time (hours) researching (endlessly scrolling through) new ideas for cards and layouts. Sometimes (always) you just have to heed the call! I was at a retreat in the Spring, and I hadn’t brought along a lot of projects to work on, so I found myself with some time on my hands and needed something to do (can’t always just go and take a nap). I had plenty of cardstock on hand, so I pulled out some of my favorite colors, the In Colors for 2013-2015, and found a card for which I had no instructions. But because Pinterest told me to, I sat down and figured out how to make it. Now, I have to apologize, in full disclosure, that I don’t remember from whom I CASEd the idea. I had the So Very Grateful stamp set on hand for a card class I did so I had pretty much everything I needed. (Okay, now I feel guilty that I didn’t know the original source – so you shamed me into finding it! Connie Babbert is the gal from whom I got the idea).

I know that the So Very Grateful set has been retired, but I just love how pretty it is. I used my blender pens to do the watercolor on the flowers and leaves. I cut the banners out by hand, and used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the Thank You in the center. I’m a sucker for the Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe card stock!

I made a couple of other projects that weekend, which I will try to remember to show you next time. One of them was my first (one and only) attempt at a card-in-a-box.

Don’t forget, if you’re using Whisper White cardstock you definitely want to stamp your images with StazOn, especially if you’re using blender pens. And do it cause I told you to!!
