Pals Blog Hop July 2014 and the New In-Colors

It’s time for the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

Welcome to the July Pals Blog Hop. This month we are featuring a New Hues Review. Let the new Stampin’ Up! In Colors for 2014-16 inspire you – Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey, and Tangelo Twist.  We hope you find great inspiration from our creations.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from 8. Debbie Mageed at Secret Stamper on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I love the new Designer Series Paper Lullaby. It’s not just for babies, really! In this Congratulations card I paired the patterned paper with Hello Honey, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana, and Baked Brown Sugar card stock. I also colored in the flower with the new Coastal Cabana Blendabilities.

For the following card I used Whisper White and Mossy Meadow cardstock, with just a hint of Hello Honey on the folded over flaps, and Blackberry Bliss Ink for the stamps. I think Blackberry Bliss is probably my favorite color of the new In Colors, just because it has such a rich hue!

The next stop is 10. Martie Pollard at the Crafty Bandit on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you next month. Please take a moment to add a comment – I’d love to know what you think!

Love the “Hello” card. The textures, the arrows, the colors all work so nice together.

  2. Carol Carriveau says:

Wonderful designs….love your colors and designs!!! Look forward to seeing more of your creations in future blog hops!

  3. Peggy Noe says:

What a great job for your first blog hop Amy!! Both cards are great, and I love that you have shown us new ideas of things we can do. The scoring at 1/4″ is beautiful, and I love the letters in the little circles. Thank you for such a great post!

  4. Great cards! I especially love the 2nd card; the way the arrows draw your eye to the sentiment! And I love the little fold-over corners; so clever!

  5. Terri Orr says:

I love both of these cards (and agree that Lullaby paper is perfect for many things!). Your scored card just knocked my socks off, though! So very crisp and clean….all the elements and different geometrics came together perfectly!

    • Amy Hoptay says:

Thanks, Terri! Here’s to serendipity; it all came together at the right time! Or as my husband says, even the blind monkey gets the banana once in awhile! (No offense to monkeys).

    • Amy Hoptay says:

Oh, my gosh, Katy, if you knew how I struggled! Just my camera phone and heavy editing in Picasa! Thank you!

  6. Marcy says:

I think your color and texture combos are spot on, and are a springboard for many creative endeavors!

  7. Trish says:

Wow! Such design talent you have! I am nearly speechless as I look at your 2nd card, especially. You need to share your work even more:)
