Okay, so I’m a bit behind the times, and trends, I suppose, but it’s only just recently that I hopped onto the Tim Holtz bandwagon. I had never used any of the distress products, so on a recent project for the Heidi Swapp The Art of Observation class over at Big Picture Classes, I experimented on some alphabet letters. I covered the C and H with Vintage Photo distress crackle paint, let them dry a bit, and used my heating tool on them to finish the drying time. I then rubbed some Walnut Stain distress ink into them, and and then put on a coating of the Rock Candy distress crackle paint. Again, letting them dry a bit, I reused the heating tool and the Walnut Stain ink. Here the two letters are, attached to my project. I like the way they sort of look like leather, and since this folder is for a family tree project, it seemed fitting:
