Back around Mother’s Day I shared with you the card I made for my daughter, and I told you that I would update it with new products since some of the items I had used have now retired. This was the card:
Please bear in mind that I have not yet received my ginormous product order with all the many new things coming my way; ordering only opened yesterday, so it’ll be next week some time till I get it. So what I wanted to share with you today is a CASE I did of my own card, using only new or still available products:
I’ve already told you that I’m just crazy for balloons, and the stamp set Happy Birthday Gorgeous has two: one with texture and one with the Hooray sentiment.
- I used Crumb Cake and Bermuda Bay inks and papers
- the embossing folder is called Softly Falling, and it gives a nice light texture to the paper
- See those balloon strings? I separated a piece of Basic Black Solid Baker’s Twine into two-strand segments, and after I punched the balloons I hand-tied all the strings to each piece.
- The cute little bow is from some new Bermuda Bay chevron ribbon
- I threw some of the Glitter Enamel Dots on there for some bling
- the congratulations sentiment is also from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set
As you can see, I followed the same basic template for this card as for the other, but I was able to change it up with a few different products, all of which are available to purchase.
I am on my way to visit my daughter for a few days, so I have decided to highlight some of the products I have ordered (and am impatiently waiting for) with ideas and videos from Stampin’ Up! So stay tuned, and
Go forth and do something creative today!
