So I know it’s September and all, but I wanted to give Summer one last hurrah. I had seen a really clever post on a Facebook group with this adorable little note card set and sweet gift box. The original design is from Brenda Quintana, but I have twisted it up a bit to make it more of my style.
Cool treats need a cool container
When I saw that adorable awning I knew I had to make one. And I think it turned out really, well, you know, sweet! My primary color choice here is Watermelon Wonder, which is a retired color, but I wanted to use up some of the accessories I had left over from the Spring Occasions catalog in which this stamp set was featured. You can still get the stamps and the matching dies in the current catalog, btw.
I filled the box with six note cards made with the Note Card and Envelopes set, in Whisper White. Here is the assortment:
I’m really happy with the way these turned out, and they’ll make an adorable little gift for just about anyone. I’m a little sad that the coordinating washi tape that I used here is no longer available. I did, though, use some of the Year of Cheer washi tape on the awning and the Popsicle card, lower right.
And for goodness sake, get out there and do something creative today! And enjoy some cool treats!
