So while I’ve been recuperating from cancer surgery I decided to poke around my craft room to see what unfinished projects I had lying around – um, yes, too many to count, I know you know what I mean. But I was looking for something not too taxing that I could do while sitting up in bed, and I came across this Quick Stitch Sewing Staples Kit by Papertrey Ink. The dies can be used with paper and fabric, and in this case I used felt. So I had my minions cut everything out with the Big Shot so I could then sew everything together. The first photo is of the needle book and the scissors holder:

Oh, a reminder – the retired list for Stampin’ Up! will be out on the 21st, and will include stamp sets, designer papers, and accessories, so stay tuned in case you want to pick up any of these going, going, gone items before they really are. I will post a link to the list when it is released. This includes, of course, my favorite In Colors 2013-2015: Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Strawberry Slush. Anything in the catalog featuring those colors will automatically retire (but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that maybe, just maybe, one or more of these will make it into the regular color palette)!
