Black and Red
**This post is one of several deleted by my web host (don’t use Arvixe) when they migrated my servers back at the beginning of October. And now, unfortunately, the Thoughtful Branches bundle is gone. Sad face. But if you did get your hands on one, Bravo! So here is the post in its original format:
Black and red. Le Rouge et le Noir. The former is a color combination of which my late stepmother was particularly fond. The latter is its french translation, as well as being the title of a classic work of French literature by Stendhal (the pen name of Marie-Henri Beyle, 1783-1842).
One can acquire everything in solitude except character ~ Stendhal
Now, you’re probably asking yourself, what the heck does that have to do with crafting? My stepmother lived in France for a while and traveled there frequently and loved reading French novels. So I was remembering her with fondness the other day and decided to put those thoughts into a card that I might have sent to her.
Black and Red for you, Steph!
She was a trip, my Stepmother, that’s for sure. But she was a lot of fun and I miss her. Plus, she thought I was hilarious, so there’s that.
But if you’re still trying to decide whether or not to get the Thoughtful Branches bundle, remember this:
The Thoughtful Branches bundle is a limited edition and once it’s gone, it’s gone for good (and it’s almost gone). It’s versatile, has lots of useful sentiments, and the trees are appropriate for every season. ETA: So sorry – it is now sold out!
Until next time, stay thirsty, my friends! Amy Ü
