Adirondack Chair

My husband recently celebrated a birthday (don’t ask; let’s just say the Fire Department could have been called). The card that I made him I have shown you previously, the black and white hot air balloons card.

Let’s show the Adirondack chair some love today!

Have I ever mentioned that my husband and I are both originally from upstate New York? Not the White Plains upstate, but the real one, Albany and further north. His mother’s family is from a tiny town named North Creek, and it is located, obviously, in the Adirondacks. You see where I’m going, right? Yup, the origin of the Adirondack chair. Knowledge is power, my friends!

So my sister-in-law, who also happens to be my downline, sent him the card below for his birthday. Totes adorbs, am I right? I love the way she distributed the elements around the card, and of course, the fancy fold makes it that much more special. Cute, right? Makes me long for the beach!

Isn’t it amazing how just folding a piece of paper in a different way can totally change not only the way a card looks but the impact that it makes? So thank you, Linda, we all loved your card!

That adorable little Adirondack chair is from the Colorful Seasons Bundle; it’s part of the Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies. The coordinating stamp set is called Colorful Seasons, and you can see all the pieces parts in the new Annual Catalog, pages 146-147.

Now go forth and do something creative every day!
